Love Me or Hate Me, I'm Still an Obsession...

Sorry I haven't updated in a while...things have gotten a bit crazy here in Neverland ;)

So, for those who don't know, I sing.

One of two current contests I am in is being put on by my local radio station, HOT 94.1 and on this station's website, I have a page where you can listen to my rounds in the competition and even post comments...

Well, today, I awoke to this comment:

"hey tink im only being honest.....you suck, sorry but that **** you call singing is horrible. i feel dumber now having listened to it......thanks for the true talented people that were in the contest and got cheated out by this crappy *** so called singer...."

Well guys, I am SO excited to finally get my first hater!!! They say you're not truly famous until more people hate you than the number of people who know you....so this is one step towards fame...

Here's to hopefully much more hate to come!!!

Totally Coincidence!

So I head off to WalMart in search of some vanilla body spray. I'm walking down the fragrance isle, looking through the options, when something catches my eye...a line of products ranging from body scrubs to lotions, and yes a body spray as well ALL in vanilla! The name of the line? "Totally Tink" Hahah! Complete with tag line "the only body spray that's pixie approved"

So of course I had to buy one of everything. Duh.

The Ultimate Tink Boots

So I was doing what Tink does when she is shopping online...(searching for anything green, sparkly, or ridiculously cute) and I came across these. Are these not the ULTIMATE Tink boots?!?? I mean, come ON! I HAVE to have them! The only problem is that Tinky baby has been basically unemployed since moving from Neverland to the armpit of California...so for now all she can do is lust...

Pixie Perfect

I've come a long way from the days of home-made coat-hanger wings. But I have never found a pre-made Tink costume I liked, so these days you may spot me flitting about in a DIY Tink costume I fashioned from an expensive floor-length lime green prom dress from bebe that I *gasp* took a pair of scissors to, and some inflatable wings from a child's Tinkerbell costume I found at Wal*Mart. It looks pretty dang amazing if I do say so myself, and I do say so myself. But, I mean, "if you're going to do something, you may as well do it right, or not at all." That's my motto. As is, "don't let the front door hit ya when yer...stupid!"

My next feat is to create a more lifelike pair of wings....but that wont happen until I can at least see the carpet of my bedroom. It looks like my closet threw up in here! So don't hold your breath for that project. Unless you're better at holding your breath than David Blaine.
Till next time pixie pals...this is Tink signing off! :p

In the beginning...

I remember my first pair of wings. My mother made them for my Halloween costume from coat hangers and nylons. They thumped the sides of the seats as I made my way down the isle of the school bus, ready to take on Kindergarten as a pixie punk rocker.

Wings symbolize a lot of things for me. Change. Freedom. Ok, so that's two things, but who's counting?! Haha. I guess besides my trying to find a deeper meaning in my obsession, the truth is I have always found fantasy to be completely enthralling. And fairies and pixies, for whatever reason, have always been the highlite of this fetish for me.

So, yes. I was that weird short-haired girl frolicking down the halls of your high school wearing wings and Chucks. And you were jealous, even if you didn't realize it. And you probably still don't. :)

So now that I'm a bigger me (we'll never say grown up, since everyone knows Tinkerbell lives in Neverland, where no one grows up), I have graduated from Halloween to such extravaganzas as the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball. Any and Every excuse for me to dress up as a fairy, and I am THERE. :) So....I may be odd, but at least I look cute doing it! Hahah. And what has Tinkerbell taught millions of children worldwide, if not that you can get away with anything, even attempted murder, and get off with a light scolding and your own multi-million dollar merchandising industry as long as you're cute!

I think that's a lovely note to end on. :) Until next time...

Toodaloo, Pixie Pals!
